Sharing My Thoughts: It's Skin Lady-Holic BB Cream

Last November, I had the chance to try one of It's Skin's BB creams from the Lady-holic line.
As usual, it was an impusilve buy. I'm quite lazy to delve more deeper in Google. If I don't see a review on the first few pages then no one has bothered to review this product.
Product Description (taken from koreandepart. Forgive the Engrish):
* Easily stick to skin and displays it lively
* SPF20, PA++
Let's see if it lives up to its description:
The Its Skin Lady-holic BB cream comes in a 30ml inverted (nozzle at the lower part) squeeze type tube, small enough to fit your every day make-up pouch. I got this for less than P300/$6 (not sure if it's P275 or P295) from Kkochipida.
It has 2 shades; #1 Nude Beige and #2 Pink Beige.
Shade #1 is more yellowish while shade #2 is more pinkish. That is what you see in the picture from Its Skin.
In my opinion, I suppose it is pink but has more of a graycast.
Since it is in an inverted tube (no pump!) it gets quite messy.
The BB cream itself is more on the runny side than creamy. Albeit, runny would be Mizon's Snail Repair BB cream. Since it is runny, it's pretty easy to apply. Dot, dot, dab, dab, spread. Viola! You're set to go.
It has SPF20 and PA++. SPF20 doesn't do much especially living in a tropical country like mine. Again, the higher the SPF to better sun protection (then again, they more reflective the BB cream will be when used with flash. Haha).
It is light. Coverage is pretty much so-so. It doesn't hide much of the dark spots on my face. Layering would probably just end up with the effect of another better BB cream with one layer. Does that make sense?
For example, 2 layers of the Ladyholic BB cream is equivalent to a layer of Mizon's Snail Repair BB cream.
It did even out my overall face color (save for the dark spots) so that's a good thing; however, that's only a short-lived gratuity as it only lasted for a few hours. When I say few, I mean 3 hours tops.
I do not like reapplying products. I'm lazy like that. But wouldn't you rather use something that lasts at least 8 hours?
I've used this a number of times and it never lasts more than 3 hours. (>.<)
Oil control is so-so as well. Well, I don't remember any promises of oil control anyway, so there's no point in ranting about it.
Overall, this product appears to be a tinted moisturizer disguised as a BB cream. Haha. Most likely to be used for a quick trip indoors, in an airconditioned environment. This will be pointless to use outside when the sun is out.
What I do like about this BB cream is the smell. This BB cream smells awesome! It has this powdery scent that I oh so love. Again, I have nothing against scented products.
It also did not break me out. Thank goodness! I already have enough pimple problems.
Oh, I have oily-combination skin. This may give a different effect to those who have dry skin. It may last longer on you.
Pros:
Easy to apply
Evens out my skin tone
Smells awesome
Did not cause break outs
Neutral:
Price, but you get what you pay for
Has SPF20 PA++ (because atleast you get sun coverage, but not so much)
Cons:
Lasts for 3 hours tops
Doesn't cover dark spots
You need to layer it just to get the effect of other BB creams like the Mizon Snail Repair BB Cream
No pump! Inverted tube is messy and wastes product
Recommendation: Well, if you're one of the following-
*New to the world of BB cream and would like to test out something light
*You're a teenager (say 13-17 years old) because your faces are still "fresh"
*If you have dry skin, I believe this will cling to your skin type and will last longer than it did mine
Will I repurchase?: Obviously not. Although, please don't let me stop you from getting this. Do read the recommendation above. It may have not worked for me, but it may work for you.^^
My sincere apologies for the position of the pictures. I'm blogging via Blogger's Android app and this is the best I can do. Blogger doesn't load when I use it via my phone's browser. I'll try my best to remedy this when I find time at home.:)

Haul: 130221 Etude House

I suppose readers would realize how much I love Etude House. Most of my hauls are from this brand.

I think I'm blaming the pinkness of it all as to why I cannot seem to step away from it. Hahaha.

Supposedly I just really wanted to buy my brother and I a tube each of the Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam (which I raved about here!) because we both loved it so much.

I happen to read on EH Philippines' Facebook page that they have a new boutique at SM North EDSA. I visited the original boutique first but the SAs there were unfamiliar to me so I went to the second boutique. The SAs that I know and know me are there. Hooray!

Apparently, boutique #2 is for promotional use only and around 3-6 they'll probably leave the space for another store to use.

Why am I telling you this?

Well, the 2nd boutique has the on sale items on display.

The reason why I got more than I actually planned is because of the sale items.

Obviously, you can sense how much of a sucker I am for EH.

The only regular priced item(s) in my haul are the tubes of Baking Powder foam which is P328 each.

Everything else is on sale.\(♥.★)>

The SAs also made me use my Pink card points becausey card is about to expire and they will be releasing a new card come March.

Below are the items I managed to get using my Pink card points

Prices for the sale items are as follows:

AC Clinic Mask Sheet box (5 pieces) - P299
Nymph Aura Jelly Tint #1 and #2 - P164 each
Princess Finger Food Lemon Sugar - P99
Peach Water Gloss #1 - P149
Petit Darling High Beam Polish BR302 - P49
Shine Up Stick #4 and #5 - P89 each

They still have items on sale. You might want to drop by and check them out.^^

Peripera and Clio now available in the Philippines!

I've tweeted about seeing the Peripera and Clio display racks in Watsons SM Makati last December, but only til today did I get the chance to take pictures like an undercover agent.

Do they allow people to take pictures of products in Watsons? I honestly don't know.

Most places/shops I go into do not allow taking pictures.O_o

Anways, this is just FYI if you guys here in the PI are interested to know. LOL.

I have not tried any items from Peripera yet; but basing on prices of items I chance to see in online shops, safe to say that the Peripera items are close to Korean retail price. I recommend getting Peri's Tint and I Love BB Cream.

As for Clio, I am unsure about the price comparison. I think the average is P500+ depending on the item. They have a mascara/eyeliner set for less than P700 though.

Sharing My Thoughts: Etude House Vitamin A Essence Mask Sheet

I have an addiction with buying mask sheets. I currently have more than a handful in stock right now.

Since it's the first one I grabbed, I decided to use the Etude House Vitamin A Essence mask sheet.

I almost always place my mask sheets inside the freezer for a few minutes to make me feel more refreshed, as well as to keep the essence from running on my face.

This mask sheet is supposed to be used to tighten the skin.

Product Description, Directions of Use, and Ingredient List

I have always loved the fit of EH mask sheets, and this one does not disappoint. It fits my face perfectly.

The essence got absorb my face easily; howver it does feel a bit sticky.

It stung a bit on the first application but I did not have any other immediate bad reaction. My face was a bit glowing after use.

Now I can't say that I felt a tightening feeling on my sin, but then again, not all products provide immediate results.

I would also like to point out that the essence smells like old lipstick. Like early 90s type of lipstick smell. It was awful.

While it did not break me out, there were no instant results either. And the smell is eeewww..

Will I repurchase?: Hell no! The smell is such a turn off. Etude House has a lot more mask sheets to offer.

Sharing my thoughts: Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam

Hiiiiiii!

I'd like to be productive today and thought of at least posting something on my blog as I've been neglecting it for quite a while now.

I had a realization that my skin needs more oomph when it comes to cleansing at night. While whatever cleanser I use works, I need a more heavy duty cleanser to make me believe that my face is, well... clean.>.<

As of this post, my current facial cleanser/foam is Tony Moly Dear Me Facial Foam Cleanser. While it does its job, I feel like there's still a lot of dirt left on my face when I use it at night.

My cotton pad with Etude House's Wonder Pore Freshner can attest to that. Haha.

So when I went for an overnight vacation at the beach, I finally took out my Baking Powder cleanser from my Etude House gift set.

I have a 30ml tester of baking powder goodness that is very travel friendly.

The first time I used it I felt really good about it. No breakouts whatsoever.\(☆.♥)>

I really felt like my face is clean and it felt smooth.

My brother liked it so much that he was asking me to give it to him! (Of course I didn't give it to him. It's mine!)

So for this past week, I've been using this and I feel really refreshed all the time like it's making my skin breathe.

It's gentle enough not to cause other skin problems but tough enough to remove make-up even without using a make-up remover.

I will definitely buy the big tube for myself and maybe another one for my bro so he doesn't steal mine.:P

The Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam (as well the BB Deep Cleansing Foam) is available at Etude House Philippines for P398 for a 170ml tube.

♥♡♥
• Cleanses a days worth of dirt
• Did not break me out
• Gentle on skin but tough on dirt
• Can remove make-up

Rating: ★★★★

Will I repurchase?: While I did not buy the sample tube I'm using right now, I will definitely buy the big tube.

*UPDATE: 130221*

The Pore cleanser costs P328 while the BB Deep cleanser is P398 at the Etude House boutiques.^^ I got me the big tube of the Pore cleanser.

I have been using this for 2 weeks now and I can honestly say that my face is getting smoother.^^

Sharing last Christmas' gift idea

LOL. I know Christmas was 2 months ago and I was supposed to this post awhile back but life got in the way as always sooooo... hahahaha.

I rather love giving gifts to girls (since I am one).

Since I've gotten obsessed with Korean cosmetics, I thought about giving my girl friends and cousins goody bags of Korean items?

Well, I have a number of girl friends and giving them a full sized item that probably would not like or end up using would be a waste (and expensive for me!).

I thought about doing a Christmas stocking of sorts and go the miniature way. Haha.

So scoured the world wide web to find a seller of Korean cosmetics and skincare that has a variety of items (and) that are not overpriced. I swear there are a lot of sellers there who sell samples for more than what they really cost.

This is where I stumbled upon GailyGirl on Ebay.

She happens to have an assortment of sample/miniature sized items. Others that I have not found from other sellers.

So yeah, back to the gift ideas.

I bought some sheer pouches from Landmark; however, they are cheaper if you get them from places like Divisoria.

So I filled out the pouches with the sample goodies I got from GailyGirl.

For each pouch I placed one set of Toner and Emulsion (Missha Night Repair, Etude House AC Clinic, and Skinfood Waterberry), or a Missha Cherryblossom foam cleanser, or an Etude House body wash  plus a random satchet of whatever sampler I have of.

I asked my girl friends to just randomly get a pouch that they like.

See? This beats the generic gift way of gifting! Hahahaha.

For my cousins I added a bit more like the Tony Moly Tony Tint and mask sheets.

Not sure if I'll be doing this again next Christmas which is 9 months away! LOL.

I really did have fun doing this. And I hope you do too when you get the chance.^^

GailyGirl has been around for a few years now. Miss Abegail (the owner) is very accomodating and responds to queries fast. She has a variety of items from satchet samples to full sized bottles. Most of her items are Korean and are authentic. She has a few US items as well.

I will definitely buy from her again when I get the chance.

So much thank you!

I viewed my page awhile ago and saw that my rather uninformative blog has 8000+ hits.

It may not mean much to other people, but it means a lot to me that I happen to catch the interest of those who bothered to drop by my blog.^^

Hopefully when I get 10k, I'll do a giveaway. Haha.

More informative posts before that, though.

And with that, I shall leave you guys with a thank you picture with my handwriting. I got bored and lined up my mini BB creams. Haha.
